A guitar arpeggio, along with a drum, accompanies the bluesy voice that tells his story, of how he suddenly awoke from a beautiful dream, which had once been his life, and now is shattered: what kind of life was he living back then? Was the dream of his life just an illusion? It was as if he had built walls around himself that he couldn't see, and therefore invisible, beyond which he couldn't look, beliefs that he thought were solid and therefore real, which protected him, making him feel safe from the unknown, but which existed only for himself. The question "What is the difference between dreams and illusions?", rather than a sure answer, poses another question that is even more complicated to answer: what is the difference between life and illusions? This is the prelude to the following song, which explores these questions. Blues music, with its bitterness and realism, has always given me the impression of being able to boldly face reality, attempting to soften it with a pleasant melody, so that those truths might be heard. That's the style I chose for this piece, so that these questions might be heard.

Un arpeggio di chitarra accompagna insieme ad una batteria la voce blues che racconta la sua storia, di come all'improvviso si sia risvegliato da un sogno bellissimo, che prima era la sua vita, e ora è in frantumi: quale vita stava vivendo allora? Il sogno della sua vita era solo un'illusione? Era come se avesse costruito intorno a sé dei muri che non poteva vedere, e per questo invisibili, oltre cui non poter guardare, delle convinzioni che credeva granitiche e quindi reali, che lo proteggevano facendolo sentire al sicuro dall'ignoto, ma esistevano solo per sé. La domanda "Qual'è la differenza tra sogni e illusioni?", invece che una risposta sicura, pone un'altra domanda a cui rispondere è ancora più complicato: qual'è la differenza tra la vita e le illusioni? È il preludio per la canzone seguente che affronta le riflessioni a queste domande. La musica blues con la sua amarezza e il suo realismo mi ha sempre dato l'impressione di riuscire a vedere con coraggio la realtà, cercando di addolcirla con una melodia godibile, perché quelle verità potessero essere ascoltate. È lo stile che ho scelto per questo brano, perché queste domande possano essere ascoltate.
