Lyrics · EN

Not cursed by expectations… Grow the spirit of a warrior… Keep your dreams humble… You're the change of the world.

Song explanation · EN

The meaning of the entire album is contained in these lines. At the end of the story, what must we do to conquer the shadow of ourselves? Don't let ourselves be cursed by expectations, tying the value of our existence to material results, but rather in terms of virtue and commitment: of personal training to achieve them, "cultivating the spirit of a warrior." Because as warriors, we can feel defeated, but we must not give in to disillusionment, victimhood, or cynicism, and learn to get up again, "keeping our dreams humble." If we are aware of our limits (putting them to the test), we can consciously train to increase them little by little, with humility, consistently, and sustainably. We can embody the virtue we would like to see in others, to be an example of the change we would like to see in the world. I imagine that if we all lived by virtue, the world would be a better place, perhaps an ideal place. However, even if we are not aware of it, we are already the change in the world. Because in the meantime, older generations are dying, and with them the beliefs they held and failed to pass on. Even if we think we're doing nothing, for better or for worse, we're actually helping to set examples for others of what we are or aren't doing. This last piece is an invitation to be lived, so as not to embody the death of meaning in our existence: not to be ghostly spectators of our own life, which is the most important thing we have.

Non farti maledire dalle aspettative… Coltiva lo spirito di un guerriero… Mantieni umili i tuoi sogni… Tu sei il cambiamento del mondo.

Song explanation · IT
