[Verse 1]
Am I the demon I’ve become?
A shadow of the fears from which I run.
I’ve never dared to look inside,
Afraid of what the silence hides.
In the depths, they rose to claim,
The empty spaces left in vain,
Demons born from fear’s embrace,
Filling the void I couldn’t face.
[Bridge 1]
Where is mine, my demon inside?
Was he trained ready for the fight?
In the midst of all the fears,
Hordes of demons scream!
[Chorus 1]
I close my eyes and I can hear
A voice that grows from deep within:
The battle rages, you can decide,
To find the strength in the void inside.
[Verse 2]
Who doesn’t feel the inner tide,
Will live a shell, and die inside.
You call it peace, but it’s disguise,
A mask of calm with hollow eyes.
And I refuse to end that way,
So I face the night and walk the gray.
[Verse 3]
The epic is not in a single time,
Not in the wait for fate to chime.
It lives in will that doesn’t fade,
In every step already made.
We’re only as good as what we pursue,
In the mirror of our desires, we’re true.
[Bridge 2]
When the moment comes, there’s no surprise,
You and your demon rise with eyes.
He’s by your side, not chained or tamed,
But forged in fire, trained and named.
He knows your weapons, sharp and true,
He knows your will—because it’s his too.
[Pre-Chorus]
Through every fall, through every scar,
He learned exactly who you are.
[Chorus 2]
I close my eyes and I can hear
A voice that grows from deep within:
The final strife 'tween good and evil
Is too far from its end.
The battle rages, your soul will rise,
From deep within.
'cause hope now flows inside of you again.
[Chorus 3]
I close my eyes and I can hear
A voice that grows from deep within:
The battle rages, your soul will rise,
To find the strength in the void inside.
Song explanation · EN
An electronic trance melody, symbolizing the simplicity of inner reflection, transforms into its musical opposite, rock metal, combining in an emotional crescendo. The song is dedicated to one of my best friends, whose nickname was "thedemon," and opens with a deeply introspective question: "Who am I now?", expressed in a different form: "Am I the demon I have become?"
A demon, by definition, is the spirit interposed between the earthly and divine worlds and capable of communicating between them.
Indeed, imagining that within us lies a benevolent demon, like a guardian angel, who accompanies us throughout life, but if neglected, becomes untrained when a battle against other demons rages.
Then other evil entities could steal its place in our unconscious, while we, continuing to act unconsciously and neglecting our inner selves, would think that nothing has changed. Convinced that nothing exists outside the material sphere visible to us, we could harbor a horde of demons within us that would be unleashed at the first opportunity, as an absolutely uncontrolled reaction to a perceived wrong we believe we've suffered.
Learning to know ourselves means being able to investigate ourselves introspectively, to understand our desires and the way to realize them, and therefore our own nature. It is in that region of the unconscious that our inner demon resides, which truly knows us beyond any mask we may wear and any lie we may tell ourselves. It must be trained to protect us.
Dedicating ourselves exclusively to the experience of sensory things makes us weak, as we are unprepared for unexpected emotional events, and we are overwhelmed by our fears and insecurities.
By delving within ourselves, we can find the questions that are useful to our lives, questions that otherwise remain hidden, as well as the answers the world might provide. For example: that each person is only as valuable as the things they care about; That the epic nature of each of us doesn't lie in a moment of grace, requiring us to live up to it, but is the fruit of constant, daily work. Those who don't question themselves are like empty, lifeless shells.
The story of the song ends with an imaginary battle between the demon we've allowed to emerge and all the others who want to steal its home, like an endless war between good and evil for the temple that we are.
Where good is the desire to love ourselves as creators of love, while evil is the desire to prevent this love from being realized in others, if we believe we don't deserve it ourselves. Ultimately, we simply wish others were like us, if we ourselves can't be like them.

[Strofa 1]
[Ponte 1]
Dov'è il mio, il mio demone interiore?
Era pronto per la battaglia?
In mezzo a tutte le paure,
Orde di demoni urlano!
[Ritornello 1]
Chiudo gli occhi e sento
Una voce che cresce dal profondo:
La battaglia infuria, puoi decidere,
Di trovare la forza nel vuoto interiore.
[Strofa 2]
In ogni passo già compiuto.
Noi valiamo quanto ciò che perseguiamo,
Nello specchio dei nostri desideri, siamo autentici.
[Ponte 2]
[Pre-ritornello]
Attraverso ogni caduta, attraverso ogni cicatrice,
Ha imparato esattamente chi sei.
[Ritornello 2]
Song explanation · IT
Dedicarsi esclusivamente all'esperienza delle cose sensibili ci rende deboli in quanto impreparati agli imprevisti emotivi, risultando sopraffabili dalle nostre paure e insicurezze.
