What is true strength: never falling or always getting up again? You can become strong only through the humility of training and learning.

[Verse 1] Some built the history of material desire By giving dead idols meaning, will, life. We learnt to fear these objects, to kneel before the sign, Is slavery perfected, rituals above life. Each soul is unique, but those who claim they’re strong Must prove they’re better than the rest to still belong. Sacrifice the common good to save their perfect face, They flee from duty bowing to pride and call it grace. When they fall, they ask no help from anything outside, Afraid to show they cannot rise alone for pride. Every addiction feeds on what you cannot lose, A throne defended as the only truth you choose. [Bridge 1] Christ was seized and killed, condemned by human law, For breaking sacred prestige, exposing what he saw. He freed the will from superstition, vanity, and lies, And paid the price of men who guard their rank and prize. [Chorus] Have you ever fallen and ever stayed below? Have you accepted weakness, or just refused to know? The awareness of our limits is the truest form of sight, Defines hidden potential, reveals our finite light. [Verse 2] A mind released from passion stands as final wall, The strongest refuge built against the fall. But killing all desire to silence inner pain Cannot deliver happiness, it only numbs the brain. The world looks dark and dangerous to cowards craving ease, Who guard their false security with desperate teeth and pleas. They build the bars themselves and call the prison home, Disillusioned souls who let their dreams turn gloam. What is love if loving only serves your ease? If pain arrives and love retreats, was that love, real? Only the strong faces solitude alone, The rest fill emptiness with every noise they’ve known. [Bridge 2] When you can empty yourself without competing, You make a hollow space a greater spirit fills. Awareness comes through effort, sometimes shock or scar, A wealth you cannot purchase, no matter who you are. [Chorus] Have you ever fallen and ever stayed below? Have you accepted weakness, or just refused to know? The awareness of our limits is the truest form of sight, Defines hidden potential, reveals our finite light. [Verse 3] Everything I lost became the wealth I gained, Life teaches loss until the self is trained. To live without what’s needless makes your spirit light, The only thing you own is the purpose of your fight. Sometimes resistance means being torn apart, Then comes the water’s strength — an unbroken heart. It flows around the stone, adapts yet never unmade, It keeps the ocean as its goal through winding ways. Pity sees a weakness as a moment, not a fate, It gives support to find the strength to rise again. I want to learn to fall, since falling always comes, And rise again with strength, like the childish will to run. [Bridge 3] Is this the strength we seek, the courage to transcend? No thief can steal your will or what you choose to bear. You can become divine in how you stand, Even if no one knows your name or lends a hand. [Chorus] Have you ever fallen and ever stayed below? Have you accepted weakness, or just refused to know? The awareness of our limits is the truest form of sight, Defines hidden potential, reveals our finite light. [Outro] When you help another, value isn’t weighed in gold, It’s the hope that love exists, quietly bold. The faith that someone listens, someone stays, That asking for help won’t end in shame or cold disdain. A simple act can trigger unseen consequence, A butterfly effect far larger than our sense. Great things are done in small, unspoken ways, Perhaps the best leave early — they’ve fulfilled their days.

Song explanation · EN

This song is a wish to be as strong as those who know how to be humble. First and foremost, Jesus, who, from the condition of God, became incarnate and became a servant for all humanity. My initial idea was to continue the title with "Rich as the Poor, Winner as the Loser," but the lyrics were also shortened to a shorter version to make it easier to listen to again. Johann Pachelbel's Canon accompanies all the verses. Luca introduced me to this composition. The prompt for the piece was the MP3 file he gave me. It was the last and most complex text I wrote, gathering together, in addition to quotes, all the epiphanies and thoughts I developed over two years, after the death of my friend and the end of the relationship I was beginning while he was ill. The history of materialism is built by giving importance, meaning, and will to dead idols, simulacra of our fears and desires. To exorcise these feelings from us, we decide to place them in something external to us (like necklaces), thinking we can thus control them and exercise their power. A power they don't possess, but which we have attributed to them in the collective illusion. We come to consider symbols insignificant and rituals more important than our lives. We have thus come to respect inanimate objects to the point of fearing them and becoming their slaves. The mania for controlling our will outside of ourselves is the highest form of slavery. Now we have stopped believing in everything intangible, but we have lost touch with the spiritual world and placed our desire in objects and our admiration for those who possess them. Devotion is respect for the power that acts on our will. Jesus was captured, condemned, and scourged for not respecting the precepts and prestige of men; for wanting to free our will from the slavery of superstition and the illusion of vain things: for showing that glory is not invincibility. Those who consider themselves strong must continually prove themselves so, always be right, and never allow their authority to be questioned. They would give up everything, even the defense of the common good, surrender to cowardice and flee just to defend their prestige. If they stumble, they don't believe anything outside themselves can help them; they may find themselves unable to get up or ask for help. Finding themselves defeated, weak, because their certainties are no longer useful, leads to disillusionment, which is the first step to depression. Victims of what they consider wealth, but are actually their greatest vulnerability. We fail to understand the value of humility in accepting our limitations, which are our awareness and, paradoxically... our strength. Because knowing where we are limited and where we are comfortable is the true understanding of our potential. As Marcus Aurelius wrote, "The mind free from passions is a bulwark: man has nothing stronger to take refuge in and be forever impregnable. He who has not understood this is ignorant, he who has understood it and does not take refuge in it is unhappy." But eliminating desire to live a life free of restlessness does not allow one to achieve happiness: the lack of purpose leads only to nihilism; instead, it is restlessness that drives the desire not to settle, to seek something greater, which pushes one to improve, to keep the fire of faith alive in the darkness of the unknown. Only when you empty yourself of yourself, because you are not full of yourself, creating a void within you (according to Japanese tradition), can a greater spirit permeate you and you can come close to touching the truth, which is something greater than all of us; and you can perceive it only by admitting your own limitations with respect to it. Having such self-mastery allows us to understand our own capabilities and act without being discouraged by the theoretically infinite possibilities of existence. The righteous must pursue the good and have the courage to believe in the path to its realization. Knowing that we can fail, but thus measuring our own capabilities, we can improve them. No one is lost when they lose, but when they give up. If suffering has made you bad, you have wasted it. Before ruin comes pride, and before a fall comes arrogance. "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone from whom he can receive absolutely nothing in return" (Samuel Johnson). "The world seems threatening and dangerous to cowards, who seek the false security of a life without great challenges and defend with their teeth what they think they possess. Cowards build the bars of their own prison." (Gandhi). A poor disillusioned man let his dreams become illusions and did not shape them to realize his true desires. The humble person does not allow themselves to be confused by those who, incapable of achieving anything, live by preaching renunciation. They ask, "How can I know if this path is serious?" There is an infallible rule: "By its fruits, you will know the tree," said Jesus. Many people abandon their search, unable to answer this question. To begin a journey, one must admit that one does not know the path, that one is not sure of the destination, nor even of the effort required to complete it. We can only abandon ourselves to the folly of having faith in a path we do not know. We cannot change the past, but only work on the present, like a farmer, having faith that in the future we will reap the fruits of our labor. Is this true strength? Unawareness, the effort required to overcome one's limits and not fear the trials ahead? And who embodies this description perfectly? The humble person. Modesty, on the other hand, is one of the most difficult virtues for man to achieve, as it essentially involves the selfless renunciation of all vain self-satisfaction. It requires: intelligence, in that the individual must become aware of himself and his position in relation to others; moderation to curb every impulse toward ambition and egocentrism, to realize his constitutional finiteness. Like awareness, it is a gift that is acquired through hard work, if not through undesirable traumas. (Piero Bertolini, Dictionary of Psycho-Socio-Pedagogy - from Wikipedia) It is a wealth that cannot be bought. Just as greatness lies in responsibility. Everything I have lost is the treasure I have gained, because it has transformed me, and I am the only thing I possess. "Life is about loss" (Isabel Allende), and learning to lose makes us human. Learning to forge our will is our true power. And only having the humility to seek new experiences, knowledge, and perspectives allows us to know that enriching thoughts are those that teach us to discover in others an ever-new source of richness. Humility is a desire for harmony with others, allowing them to express their true nature. An omnipotent God showed himself to be extremely humble, to be close to everyone. I don't want to please everyone to impose my ego on others, but because I want them to feel good with me, so that I can feel good with them. Sensitivity is the characteristic ability to understand reality, allowing itself to be changed, without being distorted, and sensitivity can be trained. It can be trained to the point of compassion, which recognizes the weakness of a moment, fleeting, however long, and wants to give love to instill support and strength. Compassion does not judge, but empathizes; it is strength, brotherhood, even self-love: in recognizing oneself as a value for others, a gift that never ends; a strength that is nourished by giving oneself freely. "The eyes of a child can see the world without bitterness. They are born with a heart free from the feeling of hatred." (Paulo Coehlo, Manual of the Warrior of Light) To conquer my fears, I must face them. To conquer my weaknesses, I must acknowledge them, so I can train. So I want to learn to fall, because it will always happen, and have the strength to get up again; the conviction that I have never reached my goal, to always want to improve. And like children, I want to fight to the end for something they believe in. "To believe in your own path, you don't need to prove that someone else's is wrong. During difficult and painful moments, the warrior faces the disadvantageous situation with heroism, resignation, and courage. At times, resistance means being destroyed. And that is the strength of water: it flows through the obstacles it encounters and can never be broken by a hammer or wounded by a knife. Instead, it adapts to the path available, never forgetting its greatest goal: the sea." (Paulo Coehlo, Manual of the Warrior of Light). Even though I've lost love, friends, and peace, I haven't lost hope in continuing to fight for betterment. Knowing how to endure is key to persevering. And when you know how to resist, you know how to heal. And when you gain awareness of your own resilience, you are stronger than before. The knowledge of having overcome a challenge prepares you for a greater one. "I cherish in my memory the beautiful things that have arisen in times of difficulty. They are a test of your abilities and will instill confidence in you in the face of any obstacle." (Paulo Coehlo, Manual of the Warrior of Light). Oh my enemy, Hold me, I become water. Strike me, my spirit is rock. Scorch me, I become heat. Burn me, I become fire. Hate me, I will be love for you. But what is love? Is it love if you love only to feel good? So if you're sad and I can't make you feel good, you don't love me anymore? Do I have to convince someone to love me? No. If I'm rejected, if they don't love me even though I love, in that moment I'm like Jesus. Who doesn't give up, except to fate, and doesn't submit to power, except to that of love. Always behave stoically, no matter what happens, without expectations. Because respect isn't earned, it's given. Like love. This makes you a man of honor. If you love, you're not afraid to hurt someone, in order to give them greater conscious happiness. Hiding one's feelings behind hatred or the lack of a greeting is the simplest shield against pain. Surprising with love despite rejection and showing no resentment is the most accurate of arrows. "Only the strongest deal with loneliness; others fill it with anyone." (Vjollca Lika). The meaning of life is knowing you must suffer and choosing to love. Humility does not mean hiding, but the will to shine, not on others, but with them. "When you think you are only an instrument, you have no reason to boast or feel guilty. There is only reason to rejoice." (Paulo Coehlo, Manual of the Warrior of Light). We must pray not to fear losing the courage to accept our destiny. "Thy will be done," says the prayer of the humble. "Freedom is difficult to understand: it means the lack of a predetermined direction. A warrior is always busy. A slave to his own dream and free in his own steps." (Paulo Coehlo, Manual of the Warrior of Light). It doesn't matter who you are or what you do, the important thing is to get up and run faster than fortune, because it is far from it that our value is measured. Because the purpose of freedom is to find fulfillment for each of us, and happiness perhaps means fulfilling our lives for others. It isn't well-being, but knowing how to enjoy it together. Just because you've lost hope of achieving something for yourself, you shouldn't give up your desire to be strong, because it's possible to become a divine person without being recognized by anyone. Each of us is special and can do something for the world that no one else can ever do. When you help someone, the value of your action isn't material. It's the hope of believing that there is love in the world, a willingness to listen, and the ability to ask for help while believing that you can be helped. Perhaps our purpose in life can be something very simple, which can trigger a butterfly effect much greater than our expectations; by giving up petty delusions of grandeur. Great things are done small, without announcements, and with dedication. Perhaps the best ones leave first because they had already fulfilled their task.

[Ritornello] Sei mai caduto e rimasto a terra? [Ritornello] Sei mai caduto e rimasto a terra? [Ritornello] Sei mai caduto e rimasto a terra?

Song explanation · IT

In certi momenti resistere significa venire distrutto. Come l'amore.
