In the end, what is beauty? Beauty truly lies in the eyes of the beholder. Because beauty resides in the meaning we give. La scelta di restare amico, di esserci mentalmente anche senza vedersi da tempo, e che appunto il tempo non può consumare, non è una relazione per cui aspettarsi un reciproco scambio di attenzioni. La scelta che era stata fatta rimane e non si consuma. In quanto piena di significato come l'amicizia essa è in rapporto con la bellezza. E quello che si desidera dall'ideale della bellezza è esserle vicino, apprezzato, amico.
